Jamie sent out the below email earlier this morning. I wanted to share a little more info with everyone. If you don’t know how the Voluntary Action Center (VAC) works, it truly is a GREAT organization that helps families in need have a happy holiday.
The families ask for the simplest of things, like bed sheets, shoes and toilet paper.
The first family we have “adopted” is a family of 6, a single mom that has 5 boys. The boys range in age from 8 years old to 14. One of the boys wished for a Polo hat & another wished for a hot wheels track; we really hope we can get those things for them with your help.
The other family is a single mother with a 4 y.o. girl. She is asking for socks, a nightlight, books, toilet paper & a toothbrush this year. VAC lists their needs and their wants. We will focus on needs, but are really hoping to get some of their wants as well. A kid getting toilet paper for their holiday gift just doesn’t feel right.
Please consider donating, so we can make this holiday season an awesome one for all these kids and their moms. Jamie and I plan to find the best deals to make all their wishes come true.
