As mentioned to you, APHW is having a slight price increase. I thought that the following may help your agents understand the ‘rolling out’ process. I also strongly encourage you to share the attached, with your agents.

In appreciation of the business from Re/Max Boone, our current rates will be honored for the next few weeks. You will remember, that our base rate for our $100 ded. Plan was $399. It is going to $425. Our $50 ded. Plan was $435…… going to $460. We have not experienced a rate increase in over four years.

When ordering online, both old and new rates will be shown. In a few weeks, only our new rates will be available. My suggestion is to choose the old rates as long as they are available. FOR NEW agencies I am partnering with, old rates will NOT be available…..all they will have access to is our new rates.

I encourage agents to register listing coverages as soon as you can. If sellers coverage is in place before trigger is pulled, (when only new rates are available), even if closing does not occur for 6 months, I will honor the old rate! This is because that property was in our system before increase was implemented.

Line 37 of the contract now says "Specify Location" for the closing location. This only becomes an issue when the Closing Agent has more than one location, i.e., Landmark. In that case you should be writing the street address and city. If the closing takes place at a company that only has one location in Columbia, i.e. BCT, Monarch or True Line, it is okay to just write "Columbia" in the Specify Location blank on line 37.
