       I am on a committee with the Stroke Support Program at the University of Missouri. We are planning a stroke awareness walk through the National Stroke Association called the Comeback Trail. The National Stroke Association's Comeback Trail 5K is a national event celebrating the physical, mental, and spiritual journey of stroke recovery. Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and the leading cause of adult disability. It is estimated that every 40 seconds, someone in the United States is experiencing a stroke. By sponsoring our event at Stephen's Lake Park on April 22nd, you would be joining the mission of the National Stroke Association to reduce the incidence and impact of stroke in the United States. The National Stroke Association is the only national non-profit 100% dedicated to stroke. Because of you, we can 

• Increase life-saving stroke education in the community
• Improve the stroke community'e quality of life 
• Empower survivors so that they may come back strong
• Provide a community event that brings people together around the cause of stroke awareness and provide help and hope to over seven million members of the stroke community
