Flood Insurance - Action Needed

Subject: National Flood Insurance Program Could Expire: Please Read and Respond

We need your help...our voice must be heard.  The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) is due to expire this month! We need to let Washington know where REALTORS stand.  Please join me and the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) in asking your Member of Congress to support H.R. 2874, “The 21st Century Flood Reform Act."

We must act now and avoid a shutdown of the NFIP.  H.R. 2874 reauthorizes the program and makes a number of critical improvements including increased funds for mitigation activities, caps on overall premium increases, improved claim and mapping processes, and removes hurdles for more private market participation in the flood insurance market.

The Issue

Bottom Line:  The NFIP is set to expire on September 30, 2017 and H.R. 2874 would reauthorize it for 5 years with a number of critical improvements helping over 5 million homeowners in 22,000 communities around the country.

If you wish to educate yourself further on the issue, below are some helpful links provided by NAR.

Thanks for your time and please click here to take action, now!
